Shop / funny t shirts for men under 10 dollars
The Ann Arbor T-shirt Company is composed of dozens of artists, screen printers, art techs, logistics professionals, embroiderers, and support staff, all operating out of Ann Arbor, Michigan (about 40 miles west of Detroit). We give our employees subsidized healthcare, a 401k match, company soccer and kickball teams, catered employee lunches, and quarterly company parties around town. While we believe in treating our employees with respect as a matter of course, it makes business sense, too. Happy people make better shirts - cooler art, higher quality prints, more exacting quality control, etc. From top to bottom, our people are proud of the product we produce and cannot wait to share it with you. If you ever find yourself in Ann Arbor, stop in for some coffee and a tour - we'd love to show you how we make our stuff!
Our products are made from 100% Cotton fabric, machine washable, with a pull-on closure. This design was drawn and screen printed (silk screened) with pride by our skilled illustrators and printers in Ann Arbor. The tagless tag is printed on the fabric inside the collar, so you can't feel it, and there is no print on the back. The shirts have a unisex, modern fit - slightly tapered to be a little less boxy than the old style of mass-market t-shirts. While pre-shrunk, like any high-cotton product, they will still shrink slightly in the wash. Our model photos showcase the actual shirt on our salesguy, Rich, who is 6' 2", 200 lbs, and wearing a large.
The shirts are made from a ringspun, 30/1 fine jersey knit on 90% USA-grown cotton (10% polyester for the two-tone effect). This means they are soft and smooth with a high thread-count, tight knit made from fuzzy plants grown by American farmers. These are mid-weight shirts - a bit lighter than your mass-market, thick gym class t-shirts, but substantial and not see-through. It's a nice balance between comfort and durability.
We use QCM screen printing inks, manufactured in Pineville, North Carolina. These are high-quality inks - vibrant, durable, and highly crack resistant. Some of our designs are intentionally faded or cracked (see product photos), but our inks always "do what they are told" by our printers. We use top-of-the-line printing presses and ovens (to cure inks) made by M&R in Illinois. QCM has been one of the most forward-thinking ink manufacturers in the industry, going phthalate-free over ten years ago - way ahead of the curve. They're also CFC free and rated as carcinogen-free by the state of California.
So what went into this particular "T-Rex No Like Push-Ups" design? Our illustrators and designers created the artwork, art techs converted the art into component screens, and skilled screen printers and their apprentices applied the ink through the screens using M&R carousel presses. Our warehouse team then checked the quality, bagged, and boxed the apparel for shipment to fulfillment centers across the country.
When you buy one of our shirts, your money is supporting businesses across the United States - from the 35% that goes to design, printing, and production in Ann Arbor, to the 22% for advertising and platform fees in Seattle, the 6% for the apparel distributor in Cincinnati, the 4% for shipping and logistics in Atlanta, the 4% for the printing presses and equipment from Roselle, Illinois, the 4% for cotton farming in Texas and the Southwest, the 3% for fabric sewing in Toluca, Mexico, and the 1% for the screen printing inks from Pineville, North Carolina.
